A hundred-year-old history

The Bourgogne Alcools company is a family company, which finds its origin at the beginning of the century with the Foulon firm, based in the very heart of the Mâcon vineyard, in Pierreclos.

Pierre Foulon, the founder of the firm, buys then a first still, intending to create a supplementary activity to “occupy the long winter days”. Some time later, he sets up in Bussière, still in the Mâcon vineyard.

In 1927, his son René Foulon acquires a bigger still to extend his activities all over the south part of the Mâcon area and the north of Beaujolais. After the war, the activity goes on around two main activities : spirits distilling and grape juice production.

Today, almost a hundred years later, Bourgogne Alcools carries on the tradition of distilling Bourgogne Marc, with the double concern about modernity and fidelity to the quality and authenticity features wanted by the firm founders.
